Artemas Mott. Now that’s not a name you hear every day but if you take a few minutes to visit his website, www.artemasphotography.com, and view his photographs, you’ll see that it is a name you are likely to be hearing more of very soon. Artemas has moved his photography business and studio to Monkton and, being a family man himself, is eager to get to know the families in the community. He specializes in wedding and portrait
photography and is very good at what he does. If you’d like an opportunity to meet Artemas and check out his
new studio, you are welcome to join him on April 13th from 6-9pm for an “Open House”. There will be light
hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. For more details, send an e-mail to info@artemasphotography.com. In the meantime, here’s what we’ve learned about Artemas so far…

What do you do for a living? I’m a portrait and wedding photographer

How long have you been doing it? Five Years

What is great about your job? I have the honor of photographing families during some of the happiest
days of their lives. Being able to preserve their memories is extremely fulfilling.

Where do you live? New Freedom, PA

How long have you lived here? 2 1/2 years

What is the best thing about your neighborhood? It’s very kid friendly and the neighbors are amazing!

How would you describe your family? I would say my family is “My Life.” Without their support and love
I would not be where I am today. They are amazing.

Are you involved in the community? I have just moved my photography business to the Hereford/Monkton area and am looking for opportunities to be involved in the community. I’m looking forward to a long relationship with the area and its residents.

Favorite local restaurant? Soup’R Natural

Favorite local fun spot? My wife and I love having dates at Hereford Golf Center. I just have to figure out
a way to beat her at miniature golf.

Where did you go to high school? Kennard-Dale High, Fawn Grove, PA

Favorite event in the area? I’m new to the area so I’m looking forward to attending local events. Right now
I’m looking forward to the Independence Day Parade.

What was your first car? A 1984 Nissan Sentra. It had these fuzzy seat covers which blew all over the car
when the windows were down.

Do you have pets? What? I don‘t have any pets but I do have two amazing little boys. They would like a pet
porcupine but I think a dog may be more logical.

What is your favorite hobby? Why? Playing the piano. I have been playing since I was four and majored in
Piano Performance at Towson (State) University.

What are three words you would use to describe yourself? Dedicated, Hard Working, and Happy.

What do your friends find annoying about you? It seems I have a tendency to overanalyze things.

I don’t want to admit it, but… I have a Taylor Swift song in my iTunes library. Please don’t tell anyone.

What was the most important lesson your parents taught you? Work hard, stay humble and find the
good in everyone.

Do you dream about or wish for anything? I wish for happiness and contentment for my family, and I
dream about a world where people can find peace with each other.

Where is the most interesting place you have been? Rainbow Bridge National Monument in Utah. I visited 23 years ago and I still remember as if it were yesterday.

Is there anything else you would like us to know about you? I’m really excited to be opening my business
here in Monkton/ Hereford and look forward to meeting people in the community. Feel free to stop by
the studio and say “hello”!
