In the world of business, Chris McDonell is a dynamic force. He spends a tremendous amount of
time working with business owners, executives, managers and sales teams to help them grow their
business and improve their lifestyles. Behind the brains and brawn of McDonell Consulting and Developing, inc. is a caring man with a big heart for his children and his community. Even with his busy calendar and hectic lifestyle, he found a few minutes to sit down and share with us a little about himself.
What do you do for a living? Own and operate a business consulting and training firm. We work with leaders and top producers who are ready to work smarter and commit their time, money and energy to attract new clients, sell more products and generate more profits.
How long have you been doing it? This is my fourth year with my own business but I’ve had over 20 years of experience.
What is great about your job? Being able to build a valued partnership with business owners, corporate executives and their teams. The highlight is watching them achieve results that they may not have seen as possible.

How long have you lived here? 10 years
What is the best thing about your neighborhood? It’s a small, family oriented community.
How would you describe your family? The best!
Are you involved in the community? How? Yes, I’m on the boards of the Harford Family House, Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce and The John Carroll School’s Black & Gold Foundation. I’m also an active member of the Harford County Chamber of Commerce.
Favorite local restaurant? Dark Horse Saloon

What was your first car? 1982 Mercury Lynx
Do you have pets? What? Yes, a beagle
What is your favorite hobby? Why? Golfing. It’s social and relaxing.
What are three words you would use to describe yourself? Driven, caring and trustworthy.
What do your friends find annoying about you? The amount of time I’ve had to dedicate to growing my
business.
What was the most important lesson your parents taught you? Respect and to treat people in the same manner as you would want to be treated.
Do you dream about or wish for anything? For my kids to grow up to be happy and successful.
