Don Langrehr, the newest (and most senior—at 81 years young!) blogger at www.TheZoneMag.com,
was a Construction news reporter and Information Systems consultant for McGraw-Hill Inc. for forty years, until he retired in 1993. During that time, he and his wife of fifty-eight years, Joan, raised two loving and exceptional sons. Much to his sorrow, Joan died of cancer just before Christmas (2010). The sons, Lance
and Keith, are married to wonderful, caring women. Don also has two exceptional grandsons, of which he
is very proud. Casey is a Junior at Delaware this year and Eric has two more years at Patterson Mill. He also has two brothers, twins, with wonderful and supporting wives and families.
Don feels that his other noteworthy accomplishment would be his status as lifetime member of the Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company, having been their Senior Officer for six, of almost twenty, years of active service. Living close by are Joan’s younger sister, Sally, and her husband, Jack. Who, as Don says, “Keep an eye on the old man”.
